Hello everyone!
Welcome to this second DevTalk! This one will be a bit shorter since I’ve been mainly focused on the fight system and the AI. Yep, you read that right—there’s going to be an AI in the game!
This is my first time developing an AI, and let me tell you—it’s not easy! Designing it and making it work properly in the game is a real challenge. The logic behind the code is tricky, and balancing the fights is even harder.
To be totally transparent, at the moment, nobody is taking any damage. The attacks are too weak, the defenses too strong, and my test dummy and I are stuck in an infinite combat loop!
So when I release it, if something breaks or doesn’t work as expected, don’t hesitate to let me know. Your feedback will be super helpful!
I have two great pieces of news to share with you today:
- The fight system is almost finished.
- I’ve been working on the story and making it even better.
It’s been three intense weeks of work, but everything is now crystal clear in my mind. You are not ready for the story I’ve cooked up for you! I’ve drawn inspiration from movies like Se7en, Saw, and Oldboy, so if you love stories filled with tough moral choices and mind-blowing twists, you’re in for a ride!
To wrap things up, I just want to thank everyone who’s following the project, whether out of curiosity or by playing the prologue. This is just the beginning of the journey, so take a seat and enjoy!
